BROOME ..... TOP 10

Cable Beach Club Resort

The Grande Dame of Broome resorts with a spectacular location overlooking Cable Beach. A drink at the Sunset Bar & Grill is a must for everybody. Book a Bungalow or Villa for the full experience.

Bali Hai Resort

A more low-key resort with 31 freestanding units located a short walk from Cable Beach. Our favourite is the Deluxe Studio with a four-poster bed, outdoor garden shower and a freestanding tub inside the room.

Pinctada McAlpine House

Boutique hotel with 8 rooms in a converted Pearling Masters home. Retains the charm and character of Broome. Located in the centre, near China Town.

Cable Beach

.... Camel ride optional!

Matso’s

Broome’s multi award winning microbrewery. You can join a tour learning about their beers or just enjoy the historic photos of Broome in the 1880s.

Café D’amore

Italian café with most tables located in the garden. Great pasta and pizza from the wood fired oven.

Wharf Restaurant

Alfresco restaurant located by the port. Serves fish and seafood – everything from quality fish & chips to oysters and mud crabs.

Sun Pictures, Outdoor cinema

Established in 1913, the cinema is included in Guinness World Book of Records under the category: Oldest Open Air cinema in operation. Cinema-goers no longer have to contend with the distraction of the cinema flooding most nights however the flight path for Broome airport is still just overhead giving everybody an unusually close look at flights taking off.

China Town / Japanese cemetery

I’m fascinated by the multicultural history of Broome’s Pearl Fishing heydays. For anyone interested in the pearls themselves, there is a good selection of shops or take a day trip to Willie Creek Pearl Farm.

Broome Time

Life is slower in Broome however after a day or so it will seem just right!

Sidetrip from Broome

Combine Broome with a visit to Eco Beach Resort or Kooljaman Cape Leveque for some extra escapism. Both resorts can be reached by car in 1.5 or 3 hours respectively but a 4WD is necessary for Cape Leveque. Alternatively you can arrange transfer by air.

The beach at Cape Leveque has the most striking red rocks! Nothing beats enjoying a drink on the balcony in your safari tent after a long day at the beach!

At Eco Beach Resort choose between the simple but comfortable Eco Tents or a full Villa and enjoy the beach and surrounding wild life.
